Cam dog problems

Hi is any body else having probs with the short cam dogs when I want to cut 2x4 I use it and since there is nothing behind or under it it pushes the wood back and down so when I cut my last piece it's way thicker where the cam dog is

Is it next to a bunk or in the middle of the 4' span ? Are you clamping to tight ?

Yes it's as close as I can be to the bunk if I don't clamp it tight it lets go

That's a bummer I have 1 cam dog I made myself and only use it on occasion but when I'm sawing close to the bunk I very seldom ever dog it .Here's one example I have a pic. of.

And when I'm sawing cants like this I never dog either just when you get never the bottom leave a couple on top & the weight will hold in place.

Maybe this will help.

I fixed my problem I just added a 1 inch round bar across at the same height as the bed cross pieces and added a back stop for my cam dog works perfect and my cam dog stays locked now

You're photos don't show up. Where are you posting photos from? I used to use Google photos and  they would disappear after a day. Now I use photobucket and it works great.

The forum doesn't handle images well. What I do is share to my Google drive, then get a sharable link to post. There are other ways that seem to actually embed the images better.

I just post my photo on facebook then copy it off there and paste it here. If it is not a pic I am showing off then I go back and delete it photobucker has proven to be kinda a pain for my tiny brain to wrap itself around.

If you have a cheap laptop it's easy. I email my photos from my kindle to photobucket. On my laptop I make bookmarks for Norwood connect and photobucket. On the forum, I write my post then click on the new tab icon and then click on photobucket, wait for photobucket to load, click on a photo and drag it up to forum and drop it after my post. I'm not teck savvy but its seems pretty easy...
