Uploading pics

The specified file temporary://Turtle.jpg could not be copied, because the destination directory is not properly configured. This may be caused by a problem with file or directory permissions. More information is available in the system log.

This is the error I get when trying to upload pics from photobucket.

I've given up on Photobucket, and use Google Photos. I also have good luck posting pictures I have locally on my computer, if I use the original size instead of trying to post it scaled to some other size.

I have tried several times to post images and it’s a total pain. It’s an image size issue or the directory permissions are wrong or whatever. I have given up on posting pics. The worst part is when you write a post then try to post a pic. The pic won’t post and the error box makes you lose all that you have written. Norwood sawmills are much more reliable than their web site. Lol

If you are loading photos from your computer (or downloading to it) there may be programs available to edit your pics.  I use Windows 7, and it has Windows Photo Gallery from which I can resize my photos down to 800 x ?.  I don't know about phones, but printers often come with photo editing software.

Mikesbeehives  -  almost everyone here gave up on Photobucket when they started charging for accounts, but if you have an account you might benefit from searching old posts about using Photobucket.

I updated the instructions on how to upload photos, using Norwood's "Add Media" feature.  It is much simpler, and doesn't require Photoshop.  Here is a link:

Looking forward to seeing photos of your sawmill!
